Publisher Description
One night was supposed to be enough.
Romance novelist Jo Burkhart doesn't do one-night stands. She especially doesn't do them with famous, successful men whose names regularly appear on Broadway marquees and television credits.
But when a little harmless flirting with acclaimed director Benjamin Paul sparks undeniable chemistry, Jo decides to throw caution to the wind and indulge in one unforgettable afternoon.
No strings. No expectations. No regrets.
At least, that was the plan.
Ben never intended to fall for Jo. After years of success, his career has left little room for relationships, and even less room for love. But the smart, funny woman who wants nothing from him quickly becomes the one person he can't stop thinking about.
Then everything falls apart.
When scandal threatens to destroy Ben's reputation and Jo faces losing the beloved Maine home that's been in her family for generations, they're drawn back into each other's lives. Suddenly, the connection they tried to leave behind may be exactly what they both need.
But with their futures hanging in the balance and the spotlight shining brighter than ever, taking a chance on love could cost them everything.
Or it could be the one thing worth risking it all for.
A heartwarming, steamy contemporary romance featuring a famous hero, a romance novelist heroine, small-town coastal charm, emotional redemption, and a swoon-worthy happily-ever-after.
Customer Reviews
Book 3 characters still fresh
As this series continues I love the presence of characters from the previous books, but I don't think anyone will feel left out if they don't read them, it just makes for a better flow and connects the dots. Merry somehow makes characters you don't want to like jump out at you and embrace them, except maybe the twins in book 3! Josephine is well grounded, interesting and doesn't play the victim, which is refreshing. Introduction of her brother Nick is set up well for book 4.
Second Chances
I’m on the last book in this series and loving everything about the subject line characters to the writing. The writer is amazing and keeps you so involved in every book.
