Sometimes what you run from is the one thing that will save you.
Mia Reeves arrives at Evermore University ready for a fresh start. She's setting goals and making plans–and neither include getting involved with the chocolate-eyed hottie in her math class. No matter how much he intrigues her.
Tristan Chamberlain has one hard and fast rule: don't get involved. He purposely keeps girls at arm's length because if there's one thing he knows for sure, it's that he's not boyfriend material. Not even for the beautiful blonde-haired girl that makes his heart race every time he sees her.
Unable to stay away from one another, they each begin to let down their walls. Their relationship is better than either ever would have expected.
But what will happen once they realize that they're both running from painful pasts?
Will they discover that love can create the strongest safety net of all?
Sweet & Suspenseful
I really enjoyed the way this book was written. As the current story unfolded, there were memories mixed in at the appropriate time which explained the reasons for the way things played out as they did. It was a sweet innocent love that came from a dark past.
Good book a little to meh for me
First time I read something of this author. I liked the story. Both heroine and hero are likable and strong characters. I especially liked the fact that despite their tragic past, they were able to rise above it and find love in the process.
