Lauren Denman, cupcake baker and owner of the Norwegian Forest Cat Café in Northern California, is having fun serving customers with her cat Annie, and cousin Zoe, when she's introduced to the new paramedic.

The crew had been desperate for a new member, so everyone is pleased when Zoe's husband introduces him to everyone at the café – but then they realize what Brendon is really like.

When the trio find a dead body, can they find out who the guilty party is? Lauren's confident that Mitch, her police detective husband, will solve the case. But … what if the killer is their new friend Rachel? Or a popular member of the paramedic team?

Meanwhile, a gang of burglars are operating during the daytime, and Lauren needs to come up with a new cupcake idea.

When their friend Martha starts sleuthing on her own, they need to save her from the clutches of Detective Castern and solve whodunnit it as well!
