Her husband is a killer…
John Kain is possessed, trapped in his own body while an evil spirit takes over his life. A spirit with murderous intent who is working his job as an agent for the private investigation agency, CORE, sleeping with his wife, holding his children, and threatening to kill his family. As the week’s pass, John knows he doesn’t have long before he loses the battle against the sinister ghost. His body can’t handle two souls, and if he doesn’t rid himself of the malevolent spirit, he will die, along with his family.
Months ago, psychic Celeste Kain sent the dead 1920s gangster, Vigo Donati, to Hell. Or so she thought… When her husband becomes erratic, violent and out of control, she finds a hidden cache of prescription drugs and worries John has an addiction. Until she sees Vigo murder a man in a vision. The coincidence is too much and she’s convinced the gangster has taken control of John.
With her family in danger and John’s life at stake, Celeste needs to rid her husband of Donati’s spirit before he uses John’s body to kill. Because if Donati wins, she’ll John forever…

Possessed- no need to say more!
I loved how John had more of the forefront in this book! Also really enjoyed how characters from the last book were also pulled into this book giving more background as well as some finality. It was interesting to see how Celeste used her abilities in this story line. I really enjoyed this one and it was a very fast read! Looking forward to the next one. I received a free ebook in exchange for my honest review.
I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever (I know, dramatic much?) and it was so worth the wait. Celeste is back and she has a battle ahead of her! Her soulmate, the love of her life, is now occupied by an evil entity. The way this book started really set the tone and pace of the story. We see John’s mindset and know the fight is on from page 1. And what a fight it is. I really thought the pace of this story was exactly right. Time was of the essence and I could feel the sense of urgency with every page. That need to get there before it’s too late kept me on edge and kept my nose buried in the book. And the underlying theme of love/hate and how the purity of those emotions shape who we become and how we live. Bravo! I love this series. I adore watching this family grow and change. And boy, this newest twist will be such fun to watch! I’m excited for the next one already!
I loved it!
Once I started this book I could not put it down. This is the 4th book in the Celeste Files series, but seriously, they are all so well written you could read each one as a stand alone. I enjoyed this book so much that I have decided to re-read the entire series again.
Kristine Mason has once again knocked it out of the ball field with a scary fast paced novel that makes you remember the power of love. The characters were very believable and the banter between John and Vigo were sometimes cracking me up. A very enjoyable read that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys physic mysteries. I can't wait for the next book :) (less)
