Set in the late 17th and early 18th centuries, St. Michael’s Island is a fictitious island in the Caribbean owned by the St. Micheal family. Lord St. Micheal has left the island to be managed, but when his heir, James turns 21, he comes to the island to inspect the running of the business. He takes over the rum making side of the business much like his grandmother did, makes his house in order and then proceeds to find a suitable wife and continue his life on the island.
