Slow burn, love it!
Very good
I liked the story that she’s spinning here. Cordelia is a good heroine, and I think Lucie is hilarious. Anna is perfectly scandalous! As for James, I like him. He reads, which is good enough for me. But, Grace Blackthorn is enchanting him. Quite literally, I think. How else would you explain Matthew and Charles. Speaking of Matthew, I’m pretty sure he’s either in love with Lucie, or James. Either one. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next one!
Revision:
All the characters in this plot are so well rounded, I can read them.. well, like a book! Here are some things I figured out:
Grace is not in love with anyone. She merely watches out for her own well-being
I could not figure out who Matthew was in love with, but now I know. He might be in love with Cordelia, but he will end up with Lucie.
The bracelet that Grace gave James is the source of the love he feels toward her. It was when she asked for it back that his feelings started to fade and when he got it back, the feelings came back in full force.
James will somehow become possessed in the next book.
Lucie will try to raise Jesse from the dead, but it either won’t work, or he won’t be the same.
Thomas is in love with Alastair.
In the future, when Cordelia is ready to pass down Cortana, she will give it to baby Carstairs, who will have blond hair and brown eyes, pretty sure.
Jace got his golden eyes from James
