Colonel Lionel (Lion) O’Toole discovers his stowaway, Dorothea, in the luggage compartment of his coach. They may not realize it yet, but their adventure, which will include marriage, family secrets, life in a military encampment, and catching a traitor has begun. What a wonderful way to begin a new series. Strong engaging characters and vivid description allow you to walk right into this exciting story. Lion and Dorothea fit perfectly. He is stalwart and protective. Her personality is happy and puts others at ease. There are a few misunderstandings caused by a resentful liar, but everything sorts out as it should, and two lovely people find their happily ever after. Great read!
