A Michelin two-star chef at twenty-eight, Violette Lenoir could handle anything, including a cocky burglar who broke into her restaurant in the middle of the night.
Or so she thought.
Elite counterterrorist operative Chase “Smith” had been through things that made Hell Week look easy. But nothing had prepared him for a leather-clad blonde who held him at bay at knifepoint and dared him to take her on.
Now if only saving the world didn’t require he ruin her life.
Two people who thought they could handle anything now have to take on each other.
It's a battle neither one expected. But with their futures on the line, they have nothing to lose...but their hearts.
Warning: This book contains one arrogant Navy SEAL, nights of Paris passion, and a woman who wants to have it all.

Another great book from a talented author!
Chase Me was exactly everything I've come to expect from a Laura Florand book, along with a little something extra. Laura Florand writes books that appeal to all the senses, and I love how immersed I feel in the story. While the Paris Nights series is a little lighter on the food than her previous series, I could still feel myself in Vi's kitchen!
The relationship between Chase and Vi is certainly one of the strongest parts of the story. She is so fierce, so independent, and I don't think anyone else could have fit into her life the way Chase does. He admires these qualities in her, and isn't intimidated or scared away. I love how we got a little glimpse of what it takes for couples to make it work when one is on deployment. So many romances ignore the reality of how that works and how the couple can stay connected. I also loved how sweet Chase was. He's this tough, rough soldier, but he isn't afraid to make himself vulnerable to Vi.
I think that the author handled the recent terrorist attacks in Paris with respect and honesty, weaving it into the story in a way that showed how heartbroken the whole city felt. I appreciated that honesty and realism that kept this from being special ops suspense fluff. Laura Florand can write emotion into her stories like none I've ever seen. No one else can make me cry, laugh, swoon, and salivate all in one chapter!
All in all, another wonderful book from a talented author. I eagerly await each new book, and I've yet to be disappointed!
My new favorite book!!
I have read all of Laura Florand's book and this is the best so far. I loved how strong Vi is and the furthest thing from a "damsel in distress" to Chase's alpha male Navy SEAL. They're both so perfectly imperfect and real that you can't help but fall in love with them. Laura Florand does such a great job with humor. I was laughing out loud a few pages into the story when Vi started throwing knives at Chase, and not just a smirk or chuckle but actually laughing out loud. The story just drew me in and I couldn't put it down. I finished it in less than two days. I can't wait for more Paris Nights stories about Chase's buddies and Vi's girlfriends! I was given this story a week before its release in return for writing an honest review.
Navy SEAL vs. Master Chef.....
A war hardened Navy SEAL, Chase Smith meets his match with a chef who runs her kitchen like a well oiled machine. Violette Lenoir has a backbone of steel. She wears leathers and rides a motorcycle.......banter, sexy romance flying pots and knives and love at first sight. Loved it!!!
