Awesome Work
This is a great book, the action of the 1973 U.S. Open was very well explained and very compelling. But, the authors did even more, they gave biographical accounts of each major player in this tournament and they really made them compelling (especially John Schlee). I will say this though, you need to be a golf history junkie to like this kind of book. The Greatest Game Ever Played is a book that really caters to a wider sports audience and is why it got so much acclaim. This book is one that is suited to a demographic of avid golf historians; there is a reason that this book hasn't become a disney film. So if you love golf history, this is a great book to read.
