Publisher Description
Many people desire lasting godly relationships, but getting there can be an endless pursuit of bumps and bruises, feeling as though you are always one step behind. It's time to break that cycle.
Chasing Happily Ever After is a modern Christian guide to relationships. It answers the tough questions like, what is God’s desire for me in singleness, or while dating? Is happiness even possible if I choose to remain single? How does dating translate to and impact marriage? How does one stay married?
Understanding the big picture to the relationship process is like having blueprints to a structure you are building. Although, you will still labor through the process, you will know the correct steps to take to build a solid foundation and experience success.
Whether single, dating, courting, or married, everyone is building something. The question is what are you building; will it withstand the winds of time, the floods of negative feelings, the droughts of affection, or those angry earthquakes? In the end, how will you find happiness and if you do, will it survive?
Customer Reviews
Practical, quick, biblically-based, Christ focused, Gospel centered, and a straight-forward read!
So I’m not the biggest fan of Christian self-help books let alone those that deal with relationships but this book was actually a good read! I enjoyed every chapter of it as it was quick, to the point, biblically-based, Christ focused, gospel centered, and straightforward. I recommend this book to anyone in whatever circumstance you are in whether single, married, dating, divorced widowed, courting, engaged, or whatever it is, it’ll provide a great foundation to how you view relationships. I’ve read a lot of Christian relationship books and most if not all of them talk about the foundation in Christ and it’s importance, which is key, but this book not only talked about how important the foundation is but how to practically build on this foundation in Christ. This book also talks about the importance of friendship and actually knowing someone before you commit to a holy covenant in marriage with a person, which is rare in other books that I’ve read! overall, it’s a good quick practical book to read on the go and includes open-ended question that make you think beyond the cultural norm and how to change for the life of your relationship that God has given you.
