Twelve-year-old CT doesn't think anything can surprise her anymore. Not after discovering fairies, trolls, and ghosts are all real. CT begins to experience blackouts and headaches, which worsen when the witch is nearby. She can feel the hatred emanating from the witch. But why? What does Vernon want with CT? When a strange new boy arrives in town claiming to be visiting his grandmother, it doesn't take long for CT and her best friend Johhny to figure out who this visitor is and how he may be instrumental to their survival against Vernon the Witch, but not before sacrifices are made.
