Publisher Description
This is a magical story about an Indian chef in Paris who bakes dream pastries for children. It's an excellent, positive, feel-good story to read with a child and share concepts about dreaming, travel, food, and the arts. This book sets the scene for follow-up books and adventures of the characters as they explore different cities around the world and their respective cuisines.
Customer Reviews
Nice illustrations!
Story kind of ended on cliff hanger even for a kids book but it’s okay. Some great opportunities for more parts. Love the female protagonist angle which is lacking in so many stories.
Reach for the Stars!
“Reach for the Stars"…my Grandchildren enjoyed the read…and I enjoyed the reading. Compliments on the illustrations…and I hope that we get to see Sam in India!
Delectable! Delightful! Delicious!
A love story pure as the Parisian light in the illustrations. Swetha and the children at her cafe soar with joy, exuberance, and hope. Perfect reading for children in an age when too much children's literature is dark and dystopic. Real but not rough, sweet but not saccharine.
