When X, Y and Z finally scramble up the trunk, however, the weight is too much, and down they all tumble in a colorful chaotic heap: ``Chicka Chicka . . . BOOM! BOOM!'' All the family members race to help, as one by one the letters recover in amusingly battered fashion. Poor stubbed toe E has a swollen appendage, while F sports a jaunty Band-Aid and P is indeed black-eyed. As the tropic sun goes down and a radiant full moon appears, indomitable A leaps out of bed, double-daring his colleagues to another treetop race. This nonsense verse delights with its deceptively simple narrative and with the repetition of such catchy phrases as ``skit skat skoodle doot.'' Overpriced!
I LOVE this book! I still remember being in kindergarten and always checking out this book at the library.
And the best thing now is that my two little boys love this book as well :)
But I'm not going to spend 13 bucks on this. I have bought two hard covers from half price books and have spent 7 dollars on each one. I certainly will purchase this once the price is lower.
Too expensive!
I love this book and I have a hard back copy of it that I paid 5 dollars for. I would like to have the e-book copy however I can't see paying 13 dollars for it. The price is outrageous. I would also give negative stars if possible.
Rip off
My kids love this book! Think I paid two bucks for it through our book club. I wouldn't pay $12.99 for this so so book even if it came with day off! Buy this rip off if you like to throw your money away. Wish I could give negative stars, two thumbs way down:(
