Highly recommend if you like Epics. It's an original story, great characters, an iron tight plot ( no gaps keeping you frustrated they were missed or ignored). Also, the ending isn't a cliff hanger, rather an invitation to read the next book. I doubt you won't want to.
Good book, but...
I really hope the author isn't in the habit of killing off characters when he doesn't know how to develop them.
While I liked the overall plot, the way the author repeated things we've already been told over and over was annoying. It made me want to skip through pages. The names also could have made more sense.
But all that said, the bones of the story are good. I would like to feel more in touch with the characters.
Interested to see if the next book is stronger.
