Publisher Description
Abstract Since 1950, the Earth has seen dramatic population growth, adding an extra four and a half billion people in just 60 years to reach almost 7 billion people worldwide. The population would have be significantly higher had it not been for the One-Child Policy in China, the longest and most intensive birth planning program that the world has ever seen.

Good Intro
This was a good introduction to this topic for someone who knows very little about China's internal policies, as well as about the pros and cons of population expansion/reduction. Barring a few typos, I found this to well written as such an introduction.
