Chitra

Chitra, a Play in One Act by Rabindranath Tagore, is an Indian drama that follows the story of Chitra, a daring young woman who falls in love with Nalina. Together they plan to defy tradition and live together as women despite their parents' wishes. When their plans are discovered, they are shunned by society and abandoned by family which leaves the women to turn against one another.
