Not what I expected
I have mixed feelings about Riley. I think Riley was suppose to be a strong female with sass. In the beginning that’s exactly what it was. As the story progressed, I found her behavior to be embarrassingly ignorant. I know, I know. She was also too insecure. Very different than the other females for sure. However, she was the perfect mate for Vox. Definitely kept him on his toes. Vox was just what I expected from other books. I did enjoy the excitement in this story, which was missing in Ha’ven’s. I loved Bob, Fred, Tor and Lodar and the wedding, which is exactly what I expected. Enjoy.
Rape-y
I found myself frequently uncomfortable with Vox’s behavior and many of his and Riley’s interactions are extremely rape-y. This detracted heavily from the story.
