Choosing the Dark

San Francisco. 1982. The hippies have fled, the punks are in turmoil, and rumors of a mysterious new disease are hitting the streets. All in all, not the best of times to make the City your new home.

But Rob Walstein couldn't care less. With high school now behind him, he crashes at his sister's apartment. Hooks up with her club-hopping roommate Annie. Is recruited by Kurt Wagner, street poet and front-man, to play in his new band. For a quiet kid from sleepy Mill Valley, things are looking up. But just past those stage lights, once the song ends, the darkness is always waiting.
