Christ Crucified

Adolph Saphir (1831-1891) was a Hungarian Jew who converted to Christ and became a Presbyterian minister, becoming a pastor missionary to the Jews.

In this series of meditations on 1 Corinthians 2, Saphir writes:

“Without the cross we have no Jesus, no Messiah, Prophet, Priest, and King; Jesus Christ crucified is the true, the real, the all-sufficient Saviour.”
