“Love one another as I have loved you”
An examination of the biblical teaching on Unity

In this publication the author has dealt with what he considers to be “the most important thing in the world” for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ: namely the application of love between Christians expressing itself in unity. However, he distinguishes between the “unity of the faith” and the “unity of the Spirit”.
• The former has yet to be experienced, but the latter … we should be expressing it here and now.
• The former we must strive for, but the latter is a gift which we have already been given, a precious gift we must keep and should guard.
The basis for the “unity of faith” may be knowledge, but that for the “unity of the Spirit” is love.
