Bloody, dark and gritty

Like the title says bloody, dark and gritty. Magic, demons, witches and severed body parts. Good story and good characters. A solid tale.

Real Fantasy

Great series. Cook does an excellent job throughout, big thumbs up for the comic relief between One Eye and Goblin.

Like hearing a good friend tell me a story

There are many great things about these books, but what drew me in from the start was how the narrator feels like he’s somehow telling the story to me, and only me.

I can see how the author did that but somehow that doesn’t make it any less special. So much so that I enjoyed it even more the second time around.
