A high-schooler immune to the “prom fever” that's taken over Los Angeles finds herself becoming an outcast and being okay with it in this modern twist on Cinderella.
“A fun and frothy modern fairy tale!”—Melissa de la Cruz, author of the Au Pairs and Blue Bloods series
“The thinking princess’s must-read!”—Kieran Scott, author of A Non-Blonde Cheerleader in Love
Prom. The best dress. The best shoes. The best dates.
Cindy Ella Gold is sick of it all.
Prom fever has infected L.A.—especially Cindy’s two annoying stepsisters and her overly Botoxed stepmother. Cindy seems to be the only one immune to it all. But her anti-prom letter in the school newspaper does more to turn Cindy into Queen of the Freaks than to close the gap between the popular kids and the rest of the students. Everyone thinks she’s committed social suicide, except for her two best friends—the yoga goddess India and John Hughes-worshipping Malcolm—and shockingly, the most popular senior at Castle Heights High and Cindy’s crush, Adam Silver. But with a little bit of help from an unexpected source—and the perfect pair of shoes—Cindy realizes that she still has a chance at a happily ever after.

My Favorite Book!!!
I am in love with this book. It's so relatable for all the teenage girls out there who feel like they don't fit it. I have reread this book so many times that the pages started falling apart and I had to buy the ebook.
EXCELLENT
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!! It was so amazing and very well written. Only one thing the author needs is a SEQUAL SEQUAL SEQUAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
<3
loved it, but...
i liked the story and how it was written, but they didn't have to overdo it on the gay guys and the yoga lifestyle. i didn't like how cindy used God to get what she wanted either. otherwise, i loved the book! even though i disagree with a lot of things in it, i couldn't stop reading it!:) oh-and did anyone else have a feeling that brooklyn boy was adam silver besides me? i started thinking that in the middle of the book, when cindy staarted having run-ins with adam, and when brooklyn boy kept refusing to give cindy a picture. i just put the peices together and got really exited about it!!! once again, good read.
