CIRCA '66 is an book consisting of ninety two photographs taken in Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. These images detail everyday life and societal issues during the years 1966 - 68.
It includes photographs taken during anti-Vietnam War demonstrations as well as street life in that time.
In addition to the images there is a twenty one minute stream of half-frame street portraits taken in Philadelphia. The image stream is accompanied by a soundtrack that consists of news reports and interviews in a sound collage, modified by the Moog synthesizer.

Wonderful street photography
Although from over 4 decades ago, the images in the book feel fresh - there's a way the photographer has with people that makes the images connect and in many ways span the years. The images themselves are remarkable for their composition, tonality and humor, as well as historical context. The price is a bargain simply because this is not a one-time read, rather something to come back and review over time as you remember details from the photos. I look forward to seeing more offerings by this author.
