City of Wolves

I finished all four books in this series in about a week. I loved the world-building, the characters, the plotting, and especially how almost no characters are clearly right or wrong, just people with different personalities, motivations, beliefs, etc. However I do agree with the previous reviewer of this book who said that this particular book could have done with a better editor. There were a lot more errors than in the first book in the series, from small typographical things like a lot of quote marks facing the wrong direction in quotes to larger errors like the wrong character’s name being used once in a conversation between two characters (I suspect this may have been an editing error that nobody caught). However despite these sorts of things the book is excellent and I was able to easily finish the entire book despite having formerly worked as an editor myself.

Loved this second book as much as the first and can’t wait to see what Malach gets up to on book 3…

Took me a month to read the first one because it was originally just a nightly reader to help me fall asleep. It was difficult to grasp all the new terminology and what it meant until about halfway through and then I couldn’t put it down. I bought this second one and read it all within 3 days. But the amount of grammatical errors was kind of disappointing. Great ideas, great plot, but maybe need a new editor
