When Jack and Annie went to the tree house in Frog Creek Woods, they found a special writing on the floor of the tree house. The special writing said, "Camelot is in trouble." It listed four clues. The magic tree house took them to the Civil War. When they got there, they found field hospitals. Annie said, "May we volunteer?" The nurse said, "Are you sure? It's a big job."
I liked the book because it reminded me about my grandpa when he was in the Navy. I learned the Civil War was the bloodiest war in America. I learned that the Union had 24 states and the Confederates had 11 states.
I think my friends would like to read this book because maybe they could learn important things about the Civil War like I did. Both boys and girls would probably like this book. When the book was over, I wanted to read more about the Civil War.
