Instead of openly professing their feelings for one another, a tireless game of hard to get, cat and mouse and shadows and mirrors is pursued. Coinciding with a newfound need to establish themselves in the community ñ the guy who can sleep with the most girls and drink the most beer or the girl with the most friends and party invitations ñ adolescence in rife with several rites of passage, some good and some deadly.
