Co-instruction is a collaborative means of two instructors to satisfy the needs of learners. This is a popular approach upon recent decades, especially for disabled learners. Yet, its affectivity towards adult learners have never been sought after; until now. The topic of this study is how effective is a co-instructional approach in relation to adult learners. 20 participants, adult learners of CBT College Cutler Bay and one other instructor was selected for this study. Data collection method includes applications, pre-assessments, post-assessments and surveys. After a data comparison of both assessments and tabulated survey results, the determination of how beneficial this approach is to adult learners is finally reached.


Prof. Diamond Taylor is a Miami native that has an enriched passion for education and motivating others. He attended Coral Reef High School Leisure Medicine Academy before pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Administration. Subsequently, he went on to receive a Master of Arts in Education for Instructional Design. He is certified through the National HealthCareer Association (NHA) in Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Office Administration, Electronic Health Records Management and Insurance Reimbursement. He received a Master of Science in Instructional Design from Western Governors University. Currently, he is a health sciences Associate Professor at C.B.T. College and Educational Consultant for Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutics. He holds an active position as board member of Trans-Miami and is a member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). He is a recipient of the 2014 Be More CBT College Award. Also an honoree of our President's Call to Service Award. Today, he continuously facilitates disease prevention and health promotion lectures across the U.S. since 2008 to Community Based Organizations (CBO''s).
