Repetitious
Good story and brilliant writing except for redundancy of words like specter, shadows, clawed, thread, unraveled, and breath fog.
Like a mist emerging from fog
The story was a bit shallow; I could not try to identify the killer as she picked up one person at a time and then discarded him. And Stark tries too hard as a writer. There is no need for a simile or metaphor in every single sentence. Take out the frills and it’s a decent novella.
