Cold Memory by Eric Fomley is a collection of seven science fiction short stories centered on memory as commodity, punishment, and control. In these near-future worlds, citizens are rewarded with memories in a brutal dystopia, personalities are reshaped through memory editing, and desperate people sell their pasts piece by piece to survive. Elsewhere, a weapon rewrites what its victims remember, and a prisoner is forced to relive the memories of the soldiers he has killed.

Dark, thought-provoking, and emotionally grounded, Cold Memory explores how identity fractures when memory can be bought, sold, altered, or used as a sentence worse than death.
