He was just a guy who walked through a restaurant. I didn't know his name. We never made eye contact. There was no connection between us at all.
But I could feel him.
The tingle down my spine. The command in his presence. The snap of tension in the air around him. That was the first time I saw him, and I was captivated.

Loved the characters
Great book! Keeps you up reading at night.
Save your time and money
Poorly written, unlikable characters, super cheesy and an embarrassing/cringy female protagonist. No witty or strong female characters. No character development. Just a horrible book. I am truly baffled with the good reviews, the worst book I have ever read!
Way. Beyond. Impressed!
This book was sooooo good! Amazing even! The book has quite a number of connections with the Carter Reed series, so I recommend reading those first (I promise you won’t be disappointed), as I did. After finishing the Carter Reed series and being introduced to Cole in book 2, I immediately purchased this book because I knew I wanted to learn more about his character’s past, future and get to know him on a deeper level. The author went above and beyond exceeding my expectations and I couldn’t of dreamt of a better story for Cole. The book was really interesting and captivating, and I really enjoyed reading it. I loved every part, even if I had to shed more than a few tears during one part. Now, however I’m sad that it’s coming to an end! :(( ...but definitely I think this is a MUST READ!
