Sherry is eighteen and along with her brother, Danny, they live a pretty normal dull life with hippie parents and typical jobs. Then the moon dissapears and people start to go missing only to reappear later, but different. Sherry has an abusive ex-boyfriend who shows up and claims to be one of these beings that have been showing up around the world. He's no longer the same person in that body. He tells her he has come to protect her and her brother and takes her underground against her will to save her, where they meet others like them. She begins to unravel the truth about him, about what he's really doing here, about the way he looks at her, about the crazy dangerous world they live in.
I got sucked right into this series! Must read if you like paranormal romance with an actual storyline.
One of the best books I ever read!!!!!
When I began to read this book, I stopped after the second chapter because I was bored with what I was reading. Then, as my next couple of days went on, I found myself constantly thinking about this book. Darn! I HAD to continue reading...and I am so happy I did. Collide is not what I expected in any way! I sat on the edge of my sofa, completely taken aback by this book. I love the details that are given when Sherry explains or describes things to Merrick and vice versa. I love the sibling relationship between Sherry and Danny. I was not expecting this novel to be so exciting. It is a little of everyday life with love, worry, trust issues thrown in with a few monsters and aliens here and there.
I have always been a fiction lover, but now the paranormal romance fiction novels are taking over in my heart. It is always nice to take a break from reality and enjoy good fictitious reading material. Not only do I look forward to the rest of the book in this saga, but I also look forward to purchasing other novels by Shelly Crane.
I am so happy I continued with Collide. One down, three to go. Then, I will start the "Significance" series.
