The novel is light on plot, chronicling how these two slowly go from enemies to lovers without much friction, but the characters are endearing and their connection makes sense. It's a welcome addition to the booming subgenre of hockey romance.

Loved it!
Semi spoilers-The only reason this book doesn’t get 5 stars is because the MMC doesn’t have the showdown with the exBF of the FMC… I would have loved to see Aiden knock Donny’s lights out, it’s the least he deserved.
If you love men who adore their women, Aiden is your dream man and Summer is the intelligent, stubborn, loyal, and funny lady we would want to be.
Meh
Summer was kind of annoying. Aiden’s ‘perfect boyfriend’ persona was very forced and felt unrealistic. It was too obvious that a woman was writing her fantasy of a perfect man. The story easily could’ve been shorter, it felt like it was dragging on. At some points it was funny and cute but felt too much like I was living in some girls fantasy land with forced daddy issues. I’m usually very empathetic towards protagonists, this time around I just didn’t care much.
Too long but decent first half
The first half was solid, but it just went on way too long. I lost interest and couldn’t finish.
