WOW! Powerful Story
WOW! What a heavy topic to choose as a story line, but she pulls it off with honesty, power and depth. I cried and cried and cried throughout the book as I put myself in the character's shoes and imagined his pain, guilt, suffering, and sadness.
It is a beautifully written book full of emotion, realness, honesty and unwavering love. It is a difficult topic author transcends and transforms by the end of the story.
Amazing
S.C. Stephens did an amazing job writing such an emotional story. The feelings of angst, isolation and shame was so real. She captured high school life on so many levels. Although there was some detailed intimate scenes that many parents may not approve of (although I feel she expressed the importance of "being in love" rather than promoting "casual sex")that this is a great book for teenagers to read.
