A sexy, scorching enemies-to-lovers romance!
There are three words most men can’t resist—I dare you.
So as you can see, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I had no choice when my buddies said “I bet you can’t get that brunette beauty to kiss you before the night ends.”
I proved them wrong, and oh how good it felt to be right when I swept the witty, quick-tongued woman into my arms and kissed the breath out of her at the party.
But, I made a slight miscalculation.
Turns out she’s my brand new enemy.
And soon I’m locked in a fierce battle of wits with my sexy-as-sin nemesis. I’m determined to show the whole city that my company is offering the best new path to romance, and she’s dead-set on knocking me down. Publicly.
It’s the hottest game of one-upmanship I’ve ever played, punctuated by fiery kisses, dirty letters, and, after a heated argument, hate s-e-x.
You know what they say. Keep your enemies closer.
I keep her so damn close to my favorite body part.
Everything is fun and games…until I gamble something I can’t afford to lose.
A Write it in the Sky kind of love
Ahhh…Easton & Bellamy, I love your kind of love! These two meet at a party & have insanely hot chemistry, but find their wants at opposite ends of the romance spectrum. Bellamy is a podcaster, talking about romance and searching for her handsome prince online, willing to kiss a thousand frogs to find him. Easton is an elite matchmaker, so convinced that people want an in-person experience he started his own company to provide just that, by hosting small parties for clients. He wants them all to find love even though it’s not in the cards for him, as he locked up his heart after his girlfriend died. He’s all in when it comes to hookups & benefits, but no feelings involved. These two might start as a hookup, but eventually they’ll figure out there’s something more there. And with Lauren Blakely’s writing, it makes for a great story. Loved this one!
Witty and entertaining
It was great being back in the Big Rock world. Come Again was a hilarious and steamy story. I was engrossed in the story until the end. I loved Easton and Bellamy's banter. They really knew how to handle each other well. They gave as good as they got. Easton and Bellamy had over the top chemistry. They were sweet, flirty, witty, and scorching. When these two were around each other they were just so good and fantastic to read about. Easton and Bellamy were it. I also loved the secondary characters. They fit into the world seamlessly and really just made the story pop even more. They even stole the show at times (looking at you Grandma Coco). Lauren always gives a good story and Come Again was just that.
Smart, Sexy, and Sassy Dialogue! Loved their Banter.
Big Rock was my first Lauren Blakely book and I loved being back in that world. But if you haven’t read it, no worries you can easily jump right into Come Again and be wowed like I was.
This book is low angst and big on feels as successful businessman Easton Ford meets his match with Bellamy, a romance podcaster looking for love. Even though he is in the romance business himself, running a matchmaking business for the elite, he is happy with being single, and not looking for a serious relationship.
Easton is the epitome of charm and class and is Mr. alpha enchanted behind closed doors. He possesses all of the sexual prowess you’d expect to find in a Blakely book. I loved their meet cute, how he made a sincere effort to get to know her, and all of their emails back and forth. Loved the banter and verbal sparing and how she didn’t back down or settle for less than she deserved. This book is not for the timid, as the author heats up the pages as our hero and heroine can’t keep their hands off of each other.
Bellamy was well educated on many topics, confident, self-assured, sassy, and entertained by Easton who was simply smitten with her. Loved how they respected each other’s careers and their difference of opinion, and embraced all of their best qualities. I loved their character growth and how they bought out the best in each other, and all of the appearances by the supporting characters, Spencer, TJ and Nolan, as well as his 80-year-old grandmother, Coco, who is who I want to be when I grow up!
Blakely writes romance like no other and keeps you engaged and wanting more page after page. I loved their honesty and ability to admit when they were wrong and fight for their relationship. Big romantic gesture at the end that will keep you smiling long after the book is finished. Bravo Blakely!
