Publisher Description

From New York Times Bestselling author Corinne Michaels comes a new emotional and riveting standalone love story.

One night, eight years ago, she gave me peace.

No names.

No promises.

Just two broken people, desperate to quiet their pain and grief.

In the morning, she was gone and had taken my solace with her. I left for the military that day, vowing never to return to Pennsylvania.

When my father dies, I’m forced to go home to bury him. At least I'll finally be rid of his farm, which is grown over and tangled with memories I've fought to forget.

And that’s when I find her. She’s even more beautiful than I remember and has the most adorable kid I’ve ever seen.

Years have passed, but my feelings are the same, and this time I refuse to let her go. They say you can't bury the past, and they're right. Because when long-ago secrets are exposed, rocking us both to the core, I have no choice but to watch her walk away again. . .

I love the story and how it captures you right off at the beginning. It is well written can’t wait for the next book to come out to see what happens to the next brother and what he learns. I hope this all stays blended in as the story unfolds. Thank for great writing, Melissa

Review: The Arrowood Brothers 1: Come Back for Me

Come Back for Me by Corinne Michaels is the first book in her brand new series, the Arrowood Brothers . Told in dual POV this book is a steady paced emotional journey between two people who never thought they’d meet again and the things that can happen when you trust in love.

Connor Arrowood has to go back to a place he swore he never would. Home. Or the hell it became after his mother died when he was eight. He and his three brothers have to go to arrange their fathers funeral and to figure out what they will do with the family farm now that the man who has haunted them for years has passed away. What he doesn’t expect to find is the woman he spent one night with, eight years ago, before he left the farm in his taillights. His angel. The woman he kept in his thoughts all these years, that he kept in his heart during the worst times in his career as a SEAL.

Ellie spent one night with a stranger the night before her wedding to a man she didn’t truly love. One night to show her the possibilities of love and kindness and respect only to be followed by years of abuse both mental and physical. If it wasn’t for her daughter she’d have left him years ago. When her new neighbor brings her daughter home she is shocked to her very core to realize that that man, THE man, is now living at the Arrowood farm.

When these two reunite it is a long and difficult journey to get them from regret and pain through o beauty and love. With the help of a brave and quirky young Hadley they have no chance at resistance. Their live was meant to be. But what does this mean for the future of the farm?

Well paced and highly emotional. Holding back nothing dealing with the abuse Ellie suffered, this book was everything I have come to expect from a Corinne Michaels story. Enjoy!
