New York (AirGuideBusiness - Company Watch) 1/10/2010 Air Austral has purchased two Boeing 737-800 aircraft as part of its continuing fleet renewal. The two aircraft for the St. Denis, Reunion-based carrier will replace a 737-500 and 737-300 aircraft on regional routes to destinations like Mauritius, Madagascar, South Africa, Mayotte, Seychelles and Comoros. The order is valued at USD152 million at list prices. The airline took delivery earlier this year of two new 777-300ER aircraft and placed a firm order for two Airbus A380 aircraft expected to seat as many as 840 passengers in a single class configuration. 12/24/2009
