Everyman's Land

Everyman's Land-

Another automobile journey, this time through war-devastated France and Belgium. Along the route traveled by their slain aviator son, James, travel the millionaire Becketts leaving benefits as memorials. With them travels the reprehensible Mary O'Malley, who in order to care for her war-blinded brother, is posing as the fiancée of James and who writes the story. Of course the report of James death was a false one.

The Golden Silence-

A powerful tale of Algeria, full of the wonder and mystery of the desert. The action is dramatic and the descriptions are done with rare power. The story will bring a new type of Williamson novel to all those who love tales of mystery, romance, and adventure.

The Guests of Hercules-

Monte Carlo furnishes a background for this tale whose heroine's first memorable experience outside of the walls of a convent is one of breaking the bank at the casino. Her phenomenal beginner's luck at roulette makes a conspicuous figure of her among the guests at the Hôtel de Paris where she is unattended and unchaperoned. Her experiences, romantic and otherwise, afford the authors material out of which they have constructed a story less tame in point of adventure than their "Golden Silence" but full of vivacity and color.

The Heather-Moon-

The Heather Moon is the moon for falling in love. It comes in August before the honey moon when the heather is in a glory of purple blossom. The adventures of Baribel MacDonald are told in this book, and the charm of the Scottish country side runs through its pages. A very interesting love story unfolds under the skillful touch of these two popular writers.

It Happened in Egypt-

Its setting is Egypt, from Cairo to Khartum, and it has among its characters an American heiress fabulously rich; an attractive irish widow; a likable irish nobleman (who tells the story); a Salem school teacher seeing the world for the first time; an English army officer disguised as an Egyptian prince; a New York woman who thinks she is the reincarnation of Cleopatra; an American girl married to a Turk; an English baronet; and an American sculptor.

Secret History-

This is a story of international diplomacy, exciting intrigue, and the many adventures attending the love story of Peggy O'Malley. Lady Peggy, clever, Irish, and still in her teens, younger sister to a famous beauty, herself reveals the true story of the duplicity of Lady diana and the episode in the secret history of this country in which she becomes involved with Eagle March, the American aviator. Nothing the Williamsons have written can approach this piece of "Secret History" revealed by Lady Peggy in topical interest, with its background of the European war and the Mexican tangle at home.
