Contemporary Applications of Actor Network Theory

This book provides empirically driven discussions and investigations into the relevance of Actor Network Theory (ANT) and its theoretical concepts. As our civilization evolves from human to technologically-driven, new socio-technical networks of actors—in society, business and government—are emerging by the day. These networks of actors collaborate to produce contemporary goods and services, handle production processes, manage risks, develop social and commercial networks, develop policy development, manage complexities and create new ways of life. This book provides unique conceptual tools needed to analyze such processes, highlighting the effectiveness of ANT in fostering collaboration in and between governments, organizations and society.
Dr. Idongesit Williams is a Lecturer/Postdoctoral Researcher at CMI, Aalborg University, Copenhagen. He holds a Ph.D. specializing in Telecommunications and Internet Policies, from Aalborg University. The subjects of his numerousresearch publication are on the digitalization of government services, organizations and society. He is part of the STS research tradition.
