I have been writing poetry since my creative writing class in high school, 1976. My inspirationcomes from all the people that i have admired for many years. In the late 1960s, came the blackpanther party from those memories I wrote the power of two voices. Malcolm x, after reading hislast interview with playboy at www.malcolmxonline.com (circa 1963) it helped me to understand him asa person ,father and what being a Muslim meant. Michael Jackson, Tupac Shakur, EricWright, Christopher Wallace, and bootsie just my way of honoring them as individuals. Butafter hearing pretty wings Maxwell could not be left out. Everything else came from my ownimagination. Besides my mother and sister have always said that my brother Rodney and I, surecan talk but! Knowledge is power. Last but not least, The poem tattoos is for anyone that hasplaced a name on their body. But family names out of love, displays respect.. The poem Babymama drama just something I thought of at the last minute, love Jones was based on one of myfavorite movies. This short composition of poetry is dedicated to my entire family, and a special thanks tomy daughter Yvette l. green, for dreaming and seeing it through love not one, but all.
Thank you. Tanya Ursula green
