Publisher Description
Do you take me seriously? Because I don't. I use my jokes and easygoing personality to hide the pain I've felt since he took his last breath. I'm adrift without my partner in crime, my best friend…my brother. I can taste the vengeance just within my grasp.
Until she barges into my life. Promising me happiness and a peace I've been craving for years. She is the sun to my darkness, the happy to my despair.
But she holds secrets. Just like I do. She holds hers close, where I just pray mine don't rock the walls we're trying to build.
Now I'm stuck at a crossroads between my desire for revenge and my craving for her and the life we could have together—and I have no idea which road I should travel.
All I know with crystal clear certainty is that the past has the power to destroy it all.
*No cliffhanger* *This book is not suitable for younger readers. There is strong language, adult situations, and some violence.*

Cooper
This book pulled at my heart strings. A well written story about the strength of family bonds!! Brought tears to my eyes several times. I couldn’t put it down and read it in less than a day!! Thanks for sharing Cooper!!
Wonderful, Emotional
I love this series, and the story of Chelcie and Asher relationship was wonderful. I love the life choices they made and how she was his light after Coop's untimely exit. I'm glad that you shared Asher and Coop's childhood early on in the story and it wasn't a big secret between Ash and Chelcie. After what Dee had been through with Beck she could have been supportive but, I understand she still had issue to workout, so I get it. Great job bringing in the twist with Sarah Jane...nailed it!!! I'm off to read the last book in the series. You just got a new fan😀
PS- thanks for the epilogues they were great.

First off if you haven’t read the first three books in the series I would suggest you do. If you haven’t there may be some spoilers ahead.
This wasn’t my favorite book of the series and maybe that is because we only just met Asher and Chelcie in the last book, Beck. Asher is in a loop of grief and revenge which has him drunk and sleeping around following the murder of his brother. Chelcie is hiding one big secret from Ash and she just can’t bring herself to tell him, and maybe push him out of her life. They want each other but can’t seem to get past their issues to find their way to each other. Harper Sloan has a way with writing drama that always draws me in. Once you finally think all is clear for their HEA something pops up that may take them away from each other forever.
