Cop's Eyes

Everyone is familiar with police work through detective novels, movies, and cop TV shows. This is probably a literary first: the subject presented in a collection of poetry. Cop's Eyes details on-the-job law enforcement experiences from a veteran street police officer's viewpoint, touching on many of the routine tasks of a cop, none of which are really routine at all. This series of poems presents some insight into a job that requires much from an individual (sometimes all), while giving very little in return, in a thoughtful provocative way.
