Coral Reef Fishes

This book will help you identify the most common fish of Caribbean coral reefs and learn what distinguishing characteristics to look for in order to more readily distinguish them from less commonly seen reef fish.  We prepared this book because we needed it to help students learn and love coral reef communities. The iBooks format allows us to combine high-resolution images and video in an easily accessible and inexpensive outlet. 

   The book focuses on the most common Caribbean reef fish - those that every snorkeler or diver will see. It compares these most common fish with similar-looking or similar-acting fish that are often or easily confused. The book includes multiple images and videos of the common fish in typical habitats to provide better context for identification.
