Counting On You
I have everything I want. Success. Wealth. Women…and make that plenty of those. As a filthy-rich CEO, I would say I’m pretty much close to perfection. Except for that one weakness: I’m cocky as hell, and an irresistible magnet for women.
So when one tiny mistake lands me in hot waters with the investors, I have one hell of a choice to make:
Restore my reputation…
Or risk losing my company.
I’m a man of my word and failure is not an option. Not now. Not ever. I fully intend to uphold my responsibilities.
Sharing an apartment should be easy, right? And it’s only for six weeks.
That’s what I thought before I found out that my new roommate is female.
Vicky Sullivan is unlike any woman I’ve ever met.
She’s hot as sin, and crazy.
Definitely not my kind of crazy, but too hot to pass up.
There’s something about her that makes me rage with want.
I don’t like her, but obviously my dick does. And what he wants, he gets.
Living together shouldn’t be too hard…
Until my best friend challenges me to a bet…
I make it my mission to make her mine.
There’s only one little problem.
I have to break…Every. Single. Rule.
And did I mention she’s completely off-limits?
It’s too late to say no.
A sizzling hot stand-alone contemporary romance!
COUNTING ON YOU is a rom-com written from dual POV by New York Times bestselling author J.C. Reed and USA Today bestselling author Jackie Steele.
10 Sexy Stars
Best story ever! A man who marks time on the calendar by his daily sexual conquests, he's a couple short of his 365 for a year. That little challenge has Kaiden in hot water with the board of his company, his brother breathing down his neck and now he's being forced to attended a rehab program for sex addicts. Enter Vicky Sullivan who has been remanded to the same program for love addicts after breaking the restraining order her boyfriend took out on her. She's pretty deluded about this relationship. Arriving to this isolated location, she's upset she's there, surely someone has made a mistake, and walking into her assigned apartment, finds her roommate (Kade) engaged in a rather personal activity, sans clothes, door wide open. This is their intro to each other.
What a great story watching these two change, especially Kade. He really astounded me at times with his little bits of wisdom and how he grew to care about Vicky. Pretty good for Mr commitment, you don't even get my phone number... I loved their inner dialogue, his in particular since his was a cross between horn dog and becoming a grown up and the rest of the self talk these two engaged in.
The book was so well written, the plot solid and the book flowed beautifully. I loved it. I love all Jessica's books, but this might be my favorite. I'd give it 10 stars.
