Courage to Stand

Salon owner Shelley Luther, was jailed in 2020 for opening her business during the Covid shutdowns.  After three days in jail, the Texas Supreme Court released her, and a hero was born in the movement to reopen not only Texas, but the entire country.  Driven into politics by the forces that imprisoned her, she decided to fight back against government overreach and mandates.  It took three different campaigns interrupted by a near fatal brain aneurysm before she finally won her seat in the Texas House of Representatives.  This is the story of those four years and the events that shaped a salon owner into a powerful political force in Texas and across the nation.  This is the story of Shelley Luther's Courage to Stand.
