It's 1984. Newly appointed chief reporter, Simon, stands in a derelict area behind a condemned railway station . A train driver has been found, hanging.

The apparent suicide leads Simon into an investigation of class-wars, corruption and devastating home-truths. And then he disappears.

Two decades later, Nia, the daughter he never knew he had, is trying to find out what happened to him. Will she expose the truth, and get her life back on the rails? Or will she end up having to cover her own tracks?
