Rodeo cowboy Boone Telford feels like he’s running out of time to make his mark. By his age, his father was an All-Around-Cowboy multiple times and his siblings are all highly accomplished in their fields. Boone vows that this is his year to stand out and finally be a champion as long as he remains focused, but a beautiful masseuse he met on a quick detour to the beach has given him a glimpse of a happy life that doesn’t involve buckles or prize money. Is loving Piper and settling down on his family’s Montana ranch giving up his dreams and destiny? When he pulls into his home town of Marietta, he knows it’s now or never, and he probably needs to let Piper go.
Masseuse Piper Wiley is doing the one thing she swore she never would–following a man who's chasing his career from town to town. The daughter of an Army colonel, Piper’s lived all over the world, but has always craved permanence and belonging. Meeting Boone was unexpected and powerful. Love at first sight. But can she convince her cowboy to finally come home and make his mark with her?

Fun series
I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed Piper and Boone’s story. I think that the author wrote Boone’s character as a typical macho male that doesn’t want to address his real feelings. Near the end of the story you start to wonder if they will ever get back together- of course it is a romantic story so what do you think!
I’m glad Piper was patient and willing to take Boone back once he finally got his head screwed on right.
LOVED it!!!
I received complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
Wow! I read this in one setting. I just couldn't put it down. The tale between Piper and Boone was just like a fairy tale. What I really loved was Boone. The male protagonist is usually the arrogant alpha. Boone was the strong tough bull-riding cowboy but a marshmallow in regards to Piper. He was so totally confused in his feelings. He wanted to be with Piper but felt he wasn't good enough. Not the man that his father is. After a few tears on my part, Boone talks with his father. I definitely highlighted that page. It was so touching and heartfelt. I totally cheered for a HEA!!!!
I definitely needed the dual POV that this book is written in. I have not been in the situations of either Piper or Boone. While it was easy to identify with Piper and her strong sense of self and moving forward; Boone not so much. I really needed that look into his head to see where he was coming from. This helped me to really get a feel for Boone and to realize that he really was that marshmallow and totally human. I totally fell in love with him (and okay Piper as well but man just the thought of seeing him riding bulls!!!! PHEW!!!)
This story does have a few sex scenes in it. BUT the story is there and the few scenes revolve around the plot not the other way around. I have to go and read the stories from this author regarding the other characters in this book. They were awesome.
I do like the fact that this story is a part of a series regarding a rodeo in Marietta, Montana that is written from different authors about different couples. Each story contains glimpses of the other couples BUT the stories are really stand-alone one. I would highly recommend reading the other stories though. Each one is so unique and wonderful.
