Cowboy, It's Christmas
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
While this is a part of a series, you don't have to read them to fully understand and enjoy this book. I would, however, highly recommend them. For the best enjoyment, I would also recommend that they are read in order.
Ex-rodeo bull-rider Wade Cruz in back in Stone Ridge, Texas. YAY!!!! He was injury during a rodeo and can no longer compete. He returns to the rundown family ranch. His father past away some years ago and his mother fairly recently. Unbeknownst to Wade, his father was taking Wade's winning for his gambling addiction and not for the ranch as it was intended. Wade is struggling to turn the ranch around with bare minimum money and a busted up arm.
Daisy is seven years younger than Wade. She has had a crush on him since forever. Wade and her oldest brother, Lincoln have been BFF since childhood. Daisy is a mechanic working in a neighboring town. She isn't a girlie girl. Unfortunately for her, she hasn't had a boyfriend as her two older brothers and father can intimidate the other men in Stone Ridge. That is saying something as the town has way more men than women.
There is talk of bringing in a production company to do a reality show called Mr. Cowboy to help bring more single women into town!!! (SIGN ME UP!!!). They want Wade to be the first cowboy. What better way to promote a show than having a retired rodeo cowboy! Daisy suggests to Wade that they pretend to date to get him out from under the pressure of doing the show!
This is a wonderful story that I just adored reading. I have been waiting for Daisy's story. This is also written in a multiple person format. Not only the two main characters but a few of the prior ones as well. YAY!!! I adored also getting caught up on the 3 prior couples so this story was a winner all the way around.
Fun and sweet
A great read. This is Wade and Daisy’s story. I loved the characters and the flying sparks. It’s an emotional journey. I loved reading more on the other characters. It’s sweet and enjoyable story.
Great addition to series
Wade and Daisy are doing the fake relationship thing. This will save him from a local dating show, in exchange for love lessons for Daisy. Their relationship is a classic case where the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. They complete each other. They're not perfect, but they're perfect together. I love this tight-knit community... kind... caring... (maybe not the gossip so much). The book was fun to read, watching Daisy and Wade find the path to their happy ending.
