Publisher Description
Sloane Gentry is lost. Big time. She’s searching for something in life, and though she’s not certain what she needs, she does have a weird sense it’s to be found in Colorado. On the cattle ranch her uncle works at, Sloane finds the juiciest piece of meat she’s ever tasted: Cord McPherson. He runs his family’s ranch like the whip-cracking boss he is, and though he hasn’t dated for years, once he sees Sloane, that dry spell is as good as broken. But nothing is simple or easy when passion runs this high. Someone is stealing cattle from the nearby ranches, and each day brings them closer to Cord’s land. If he doesn’t find out who’s responsible for the crimes soon, it could be more than his animals that end up in danger.
This is the first book in the Colorado Cowboys Series by Harper Young.

Cowboy Rough
It’s about as pure and simply sweet as you can get. Love the little play they have about their feelings. That bit of drama sure got the heart pumping.
It could’ve been better
So you know about slow burns? This book is the complete opposite. The romance in this book is like a whiplash, with sudden star-crossed lovers who don’t even know each other and barely met. I don’t think that’s necessarily bad, I guess its supposed to be corny and thats the fun part. However, it is just a big ICK how young the protagonist is, a teenager who barely know what she wants. I don’t understand why she couldn’t have been older. Also the grumpy animal who hates everyone but for some reason loves the protagonist is just an old trope. I like the mystery of the cattle going missing though, but wish it would’ve been explored more than the protagonist, teenager’s physical attributes. Ick.
