Cowgirls in Cahoots
Cowgirls in Cahoots, Lisa Lynch’s second book, is a sympathetic telling of a young girl’s story of striving talent and personal competition. In the story, the girl’s talent, efforts, and success flow naturally from themselves. As their knowledge and ability grow, they have a lot of fun in their activities (art and science) and also by involving others in their activities. However, competition and resentment begin to spoil the fun. The girls soon learn the real-life lesson that collaboration often leads to greater levels of success and satisfaction. This is a fun book for youngsters and oldsters with fun illustrations by the same artist, Laurence Knighton, found in Emma Snaggletooth, Lisa’s first book.
