Entertaining and informative.
This book was well written even with some confusing timelines and difficulty pulling out the meanings of some of the storylines. The main characters move in and out of the story without being tied to a time period at times. Altogether though, I found myself swept up in the history of the time and the challenges of the history makers.

Really enjoyed the book. My favorite of Ambroses writings. Would highly recommend it.
